The Role
You will be responsible for :
- Transcribing voice recordings from healthcare professionals into written documents.
- Reviewing transcripts for accuracy and clarity, making corrections as needed.
- Understanding and accurately using medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations in all documentation.
- Editing and formatting transcripts for readability and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborating with healthcare staff to clarify any unclear dictations or reports.
- Utilizing transcription software and equipment efficiently to maximize productivity.
Ideal Profile
- Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or similar transcription role.
- Proficient in using transcription software and equipment.
- Must be based in and authorized to work in the US
- Strong typing skills with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, and editing abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
