We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team in Carson, California, on a Contract-to-ongoing basis. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing and executing a wide range of human resources functions, including payroll administration, employee relations, compliance, and benefits management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic manufacturing industry environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll and audit timesheets using advanced HR systems, including managing benefit contributions and compliance reporting.
- Maintain and organize personnel files while responding promptly to employee inquiries and requests.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, and oversee open enrollment sessions.
- Coordinate the annual performance review process to ensure timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting and candidate screening to onboarding new hires.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Handle workers' compensation claims, liaising with insurance carriers and employees to ensure smooth case management and return-to-work processes.
- Conduct training programs on cybersecurity, safety, and workplace harassment to enhance employee knowledge and compliance.
- Investigate employee relations issues, providing counseling and implementing disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Organize and lead company events to foster a strong team-oriented culture and employee engagement.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Proficiency in HR systems, with at least 2 years of experience using Workforce Now.
- Demonstrated ability to manage HR operations in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Hands-on experience in payroll administration, benefits management, recruiting, and compliance.
- Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
