Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Rigging Coordinator to oversee rigging operations on maintenance projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising all rigging activities to ensure safe and efficient handling of equipment and materials. The Rigging Coordinator will work closely with construction teams, contractors, and safety personnel to maintain compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement rigging plans for various maintenance projects.

• Coordinate and supervise rigging crews during the execution of lifting operations.

• Ensure all rigging activities comply with OSHA standards and safety protocols.

• Inspect rigging equipment and materials to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine rigging requirements for specific tasks.

• Provide training and guidance to rigging personnel to enhance skills and ensure safety.

• Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, including inspections, certifications, and incident reports.

• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety procedures and policies.

• Assist in the procurement and maintenance of rigging equipment and materials.

Required Education and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in rigging operations, preferably in an industrial or construction setting.

Required Abilities and Skills

Candidates must demonstrate the following:

• Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
