Role Overview :

The Quality Assurance Analyst develops and conducts agency compliance activities and quality assurance reviews such as case reviews and internal quality assurance processes. You will perform basic data analysis, prepare reports, and hold a deep understanding of federal regulations, state policies, and agency guidelines pertaining to child welfare. You will be tasked with developing curriculums, facilitating meetings and trainings, and giving regional data presentations about compliance and related topics. Analysts work collaboratively with internal and external project teams, children and families, and agency staff.

Salary :

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct quantitative and, qualitative system reviews, with cases statewide to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes, practices, and policy.
• Coach field staff to prepare for qualitative federal and regional reviews 
• Review s hotline calls and assessments to rate the output using a quality assurance tool and provide feedback to management regarding outcomes 
• Present trends, interpret results, and provide written and oral summaries and graphic visualizations of analyses to leadership with recommendations for statewide continuous quality improvements
• Collaborate to develop training for the different agency divisions utilizing quality review systems.
• Collaborate, develop, Develop and implement inter-rater reliability processes to measure, identify trends and reduce scoring differences between reviewers.
• Research policy regarding federal and state practice trends to assist in resolving agency requests for modifications of existing or new programming. 
• Creates quality assurance tools for areas of targeted improvement, oversee the use of quality assurance tools, provide feedback on data gathered and make an adjustment to quality assurance tools as needed. 
• Attend and represent the agency divisions at project-related meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders. 
• Schedule, track and organize all OSRI federal reviews and other quantitative and qualitative assurance reviews.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.

What You'll Need for Success:

You must satisfy the following requirements to continue employment:

• Ability to conduct compliance reviews of random samples of service program cases.
• Specialized knowledge to determine whether decisions made and actions are taken follow agency guidelines and policies, state and federal requirements, and we're in the best interests of the clients served.
• Ability to serve as a mentor on federal regulations and state policies regarding practice models for all field review team representatives.
• Ability to maintain systematic automated processes for reporting with the use of basic statistical techniques and queries in completing reviews.
• Working knowledge to understand and explain DCS-produced reports including reports completed in Tableau.
• Ability to create and train on curriculums around the scope of service reviews and state reviews staying within allotted timeframes.
• Ability to facilitate groups of people as a trainer, in meetings and group projects professionally with data and practice cohesively interwoven and presented.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Minitab, or other data software is desirable.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
