Proposal Writer **Department:** Operations **Location:** Hagerty Consulting, Inc. (Hagerty) is the nation's leading emergency management and homeland security consulting firm. We are a growing company that is currently seeking driven, detail-oriented proposal management professionals to support the Operations Division. Interested candidates ideally have hands-on experience writing proposals/grants in response to a wide variety of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) within the U.S. public sector. The Proposal Writer will report to the Operations Senior Manager and the Director of Operations. The Proposal Writer will be a key team member who has excellent communication skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically. Candidates may be asked to submit a writing sample or to complete an exercise as a part of the interview process. **Responsibilities for the Proposal Writer Include:** + Balance multiple priorities at once to support the full cycle of proposal development - from requirement analysis to final production, ensuring adherence to proposal deadlines. + Write and contribute to all aspects of technical proposals including cover letters, executive summaries, resumes, biographies, project descriptions, and project approach. + Gather and synthesize information specific to the proposal, tailored to the scope and evaluation criteria identified by the client. + Facilitate and lead proposal preparation meetings. + Coordinate with technical personnel, including firm Directors and Managers, to develop technical proposal content. + Maintain version control of all documents, incorporate edits and feedback. + Proofread and edit all proposal documentation. + Coordinate with counterparts in Hagerty-s graphics team, on a timely basis, to enhance proposals while maintaining compliance with client requirements. + Support business development and marketing efforts. + Coordinate team schedules and support information systems management. **Qualifications for the Proposal Writer Include** **:** + At least two to three (2-3) years of experience in proposal writing/management for public sector agencies. + Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field, is preferred. + Exceptional grammar and proofreading abilities. + Ability to work extended hours to meet tight deadline requirements. **Compensation for Proposal Writer Includes:** + Salary range of $65,000 - $105,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs. + Comprehensive benefits program, including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending accounts (FSA) for health and transit/parking, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, sick leave, and more.
