**Job Description**
Join a leading commercial painting company in the Bay Area for a summer assignment. We are seeking experienced and diligent commercial and residential painters for a 3-4 month project primarily at Stanford University. Our projects span Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Sunnyvale, with the majority at Stanford University. The typical work hours are 8 am to 4 pm, with potential overtime.
**Responsibilities**
+ Paint, stain, and varnish surfaces using brushes and hand sanders.
+ Repair surfaces, including plastering and sheetrock finishing.
+ Mix and match paints for various applications.
+ Waterproof surfaces to protect against weather conditions.
+ Refinish furniture such as chairs, bookcases, and desks.
+ Set glass and apply putty as needed.
+ Paint signs and occasionally hang wallpaper.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 3 years of recent commercial painting experience.
+ Comfortable with switching locations if needed.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Painting tools and grip bag with rollers, brushes, and buckets.
+ Reliable transportation.
+ Ability to wear all white long pants and sleeves (typical painting attire).
+ Prepared packed lunch for on-campus work.

**Work Environment**
Work on-site at Stanford University in Palo Alto on commercial buildings. Be prepared to work in all weather conditions, including flexible hours and overtime on weekends. Dress code includes work boots and typical painting attire. Daily work orders are dispatched based on the needs of the following day.

This is a Contract position based out of Stanford, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
