The Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy services, floating between units within a short-term acute care/Level III trauma center. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 9-11 patients per day, requiring acute care experience and the ability to work independently while contributing to the team.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical and cognitive abilities to determine appropriate occupational therapy interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional skills and independence.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living training, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Manage own schedule effectively and proactively seek opportunities to assist the team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license.
- Acute care experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Inpatient Rehab experience.
