**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
The Nursing Practice Specialist for Med/Surg Telemetry Departments will have accountabilities for planning , staff development, orientation, patient/family education, quality management and research, consultation, communication, professional relationships, and professional development as appropriate.
**Job Requirements**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree required.
+ Advanced Practice Skills in Med/Surg and Telemetry.
+ 2 to 3 years experience required in Med/Surg and Telemetry.
+ BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS);REGISTERED NURSE (RN);ACLS (CT ACLS)
+ Working knowledge of several software systems.
+ Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret hospital policies and procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Masters of Science preferred or required within 2 years of hire.
+ Experience with Cardiac and Neuro Services preferred.
+ 4+ years preferred.
+ NIH STROKE SCALE-AM STRKE ASSC (CT STROKE);CT ACLSINS;CT BLSINST;AACN-PCCN

$43.37 - $68.25 /hour
