Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Job description:

Note : This position requires employees to work on a hybrid schedule, with four days per week on-site in either the Miami or Tampa office (subject to change after the first 90 days).

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 2 years of bankruptcy or litigation docketing experience using a rules-based docketing software.

Job Description

  • Manage litigation and bankruptcy docketing and calendaring for attorneys and paralegals across multiple practice groups
  • Calculate and calendar critical deadlines using rules-based docketing software (Compulaw strongly preferred)
  • Review pleadings, motions, and court documents for date-sensitive information and ensure timely notifications
  • Research and gather case, party, and court information through databases such as PACER, Westlaw, and CourtDrive
  • Provide guidance on local, state, and federal court rules, filing procedures, and deadlines
  • Create and distribute docket reports and apply quality control measures for accuracy and risk management
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and staff in weekly team meetings and ongoing projects
  • Support miscellaneous docketing and research assignments as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in litigation or bankruptcy docketing with rules-based docketing software (Compulaw preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal court rules and filing procedures
  • Familiarity with litigation and bankruptcy case phases, from initiation through appeal
  • Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attorneys, staff, and court personnel
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
