Job Description

Job Title: IT System Administrator

Position Summary: Valley Hospitality is currently seeking an experienced and tech-savvy IT System Administrator to support the technology infrastructure across our hospitality operations, including hotels and restaurants. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operation of IT systems related to timekeeping, point-of-sale, inventory, and web presence. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both hardware and software troubleshooting, web maintenance, and data integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support for hotel, restaurant, and event center operations, including:
    • Timekeeping systems
    • Point-of-sale (POS) systems
    • Food and beverage inventory
    • Food cost management tools
  • Manage data imports from multiple systems to centralize company-wide analytics and reporting.
  • Install, maintain, repair, and update hardware and software components.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues and software malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot computer systems and run diagnostic tests to ensure performance.
  • Respond to technical support requests from staff and customers via phone, email, or in person.
  • Maintain the company website by writing or updating code and ensuring content is aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance, including usability, link functionality, click-through rates, and overall uptime.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of IT systems.
  • Document procedures, maintenance records, and troubleshooting solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems, inventory management, and timekeeping software.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Basic web development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript or CMS platforms).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritize under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Valid driver's license and clear motor vehicle report.
  • Must pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications).
  • Experience with hospitality, hotel, restaurant, and/or event center systems.
