Director of Marketing & Communications

Position Summary
The Director of Marketing & Communications advances Crossworld’s vision by leading organizational marketing, branding, communications, and storytelling. This role strengthens Crossworld’s public image, grows audience engagement, and equips internal teams to achieve ministry goals. The Director leads a high-capacity team, manages external vendors and digital platforms, and ensures brand excellence and consistency across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development – Provide vision, coaching, and accountability for the Communications team; set SMART goals; oversee KPIs; foster a healthy, prayer-centered culture.
Brand Oversight – Guide Crossworld’s voice and strategy across all communications; approve social media, email, website, print, video, and donor messaging to ensure brand integrity.
Content & Storytelling – Serve as lead writer/editor for campaigns, donor appeals, social media, and blogs; direct video and creative projects that capture powerful stories of global impact.
Digital Marketing & Web – Manage ActiveCampaign (CRM/email, lists, automations), SEO, analytics, website strategy, and audience engagement; track data and optimize performance.
Collaboration & Support – Partner with Advancement and global staff to strengthen communication strategies, donor engagement, and mobilization efforts.
Budget & Strategy – Manage the department’s annual budget, allocate resources wisely, and contribute to long-term planning.
Crisis Communications – Provide direction on messaging during emergencies as part of the Crisis Management Team.
Qualifications
A committed follower of Jesus Christ, aligned with Crossworld’s mission and doctrinal beliefs.
5+ years of leadership in marketing, communications, or related fields.
Proven ability in team leadership, strategy, and project management.
Excellent storytelling, writing, and editing skills across digital and print channels.
Experience with digital platforms (CRM/email, SEO, analytics, CMS; Adobe Creative Suite a plus).
Relational, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with clarity and grace.
