Job Description
Job Summary (List Format):
- Must be local to Houston or within driving distance (on-site interview required)
- Hybrid work role (combination of on-site and remote)
- No sponsorships available (must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship)
- Develop and maintain database applications on IBM iSeries platform
- Utilize dynamic SQL, temporary/temporal tables, commitment control, and exception handling
- Convert RPG code to SQL stored procedures in DB2
- Expert-level experience in SQL stored procedure development on IBM iSeries DB2 (not just embedded SQL or RPG)
- Ability to read and understand RPGIV, RPGLE, and RPGFree programs with embedded SQL
- Experience with application modernization/conversion from RPG to SQL stored procedures
- Familiarity with IBM tools (Aldon, RDI, Client, etc.)
- Experience developing applications that interact with front end via REST APIs, JSON, and XML
- Exposure to Python, microservices architecture, and VS Code IDE
