This entry-level Power BI Analyst/Developer role focuses on creating, maintaining, and enhancing data visualization and reporting capabilities using Power BI. The position requires a blend of analytical and development skills to design user-friendly dashboards, integrate diverse data sources, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. This is a contract-to-hire position with a potential for full-time conversion after 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights and improve decision-making.
- Enhance existing dashboards to improve usability, interactivity, and performance.
- Develop data models and write SQL queries to integrate, transform, and prepare data for reporting.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet business needs and provide value.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data visualizations and reports.
- Stay updated on Power BI updates and features to continuously improve reporting solutions.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Power BI in a professional setting.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining dashboards for business use.
- Strong experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and report creation.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming data.
- Demonstrated ability to design visually appealing and functional dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy and insight generation.
- Familiarity with integrating various data sources into Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a similar role in the government sector or large organizations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT and business stakeholders.
- Certifications in Power BI, SQL, or related tools (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
