Senior Cloud Engineer
Remote
Contract
MUST HAVE:
Prior experience leading company integrations from AWS/Azure to GCP. Will be responsible for leading GCP / technical direction and guidance as an Engineer/Architect.
Application Development focused - NOT looking for DevOps or Cloud Hosting candidates
Focus will be engineering/development focused. Will be 'developing' the majority of the time, but able to use prior GCP experience to help with guidance through their migration from AWS to GCP. (More of a Developer who can assist with Architecture vs an Architect who may do some coding... "Nice to Have" Architecture in the future could be mapping out concepts, building one GCP cloud and possibility to move to two clouds in the future, etc.)
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, and Redshift
3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, GKE, and Cloud Functions
Strong experience with containerization technologies ( Docker, Kubernetes )
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tool s (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Knowledge of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, load balancers , and hybrid connectivity
Experience with database migration tools and techniques
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript or Go
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
Experience with monitoring and logging tools
Previous cloud migration project experience
