About this role:

The AML Surveillance Analyst analyzes information on banking transactions with regard to BSA, AML, and SAR regulations and requirements and completes all reports as necessary.

In this role you will:

  • Support the Bank’s “client first” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
  • Examine Customer Due Diligence Alerts from our AML Systems and address alerts with required documentation or raise for the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
  • Examine anti-money laundering notifications from our AML platform and resolve alerts with appropriate documentation or elevate for filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
  • Conduct reviews for enhanced due diligence high risk clients. Review all related relationships and detail all areas in a comprehensive narrative.
  • Monitors client accounts and prepare detailed investigations for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) filing.
  • Ensure effective transaction monitoring and client account oversight is implemented to identify suspicious transactions for reporting.
  • Review and analyze all accounts to identify possible suspicious activity and escalate cases as vital.
  • Assist in developing statistical reports to improve the current BSA/AML Solution at the Bank.
  • Perform scheduled reviews of critical areas where non-compliance could lead to civil and criminal liability.
  • Support the Deputy BSA officer and the AML Surveillance Team Lead with additional projects when needed.

Must haves:

  • Strong “People First” interest and ability.
  • Minimum 3-5 years BSA experience
  • Expert knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Regulation E and US PATRIOT Act.
  • Familiarity with Bank security and safety practices.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Proficiency with IBS, Vision Archive, OnBase, And Verafin
