Magma is one of the world’s fastest-growing and most celebrated edtech companies, transforming math education through the power of AI. Our platform turns handwritten solutions into digital insights, empowering teachers to focus on creativity and deeper learning — while giving them real-time visibility into student progress.
The result? More inclusive, engaging, and effective math classrooms for all learners.
But we’re not just building better tools. We’re tackling one of the biggest challenges in global education: math underperformance. With 1 in 5 students globally struggling in math — a subject that forms the backbone of so many career paths — we believe the opportunity to improve outcomes at scale is massive.
We’re already the go-to solution in thousands of schools — and we’re just getting started. As we expand rapidly across the U.S. and Europe, we’re building a team as ambitious as our mission: to help millions of students unlock their full potential in math.
The Sales team at Magma Math drives revenue and ensures our platform reaches the students and teachers who need it most. The U.S. market represents our largest opportunity for growth—and our greatest chance to make a difference.
We’re looking for a high-energy Account Executive who’s eager to grow something from the ground up. This isn’t a plug-and-play sales job. It’s a role for someone who’s hungry, mission-aligned, and fired up by the chance to build. If you’re looking for structure, playbooks, and long-established processes, you won’t find that here. But if you’re excited by autonomy, scrappy wins, and massive impact, we’d love to talk.
You’ll drive new business by connecting with district leaders, understanding their challenges, and guiding them through a consultative sales process that leads to better math outcomes for students. You’ll be supported by SDRs to help build pipeline, marketing events that generate leads, and in-person opportunities to meet decision-makers—but the expectation is that you own your number and approach the role with full accountability. You’ll need to be a self-starter, a creative problem-solver, and someone who sees the blank page as an opportunity—not a blocker.
Own the full sales cycle from lead to close, including prospecting, demos, and multi-threading across district stakeholders.
Represent Magma Math at conferences and in-person meetings with district leaders, especially superintendents, assistant superintendents, directors of curriculum, CAOs, and directors of math.
Understand how districts are thinking about math achievement, funding, and teacher support, and help them connect those goals to our solution.
Collaborate internally with your team, and cross-functionally with district success managers, marketing, and product to share insights and continuously refine our approach.
Think like an owner: if you see something broken, you fix it. We’re not just selling software, we’re building a company.
Demonstrate relentless energy and belief in Magma Math’s mission to improve educational opportunities for all.
Act proactively, seek ownership, and pursue solutions with urgency.
Operate as a self-starter: take initiative and bring solutions to the table before being asked.
Be coachable, curious, and always striving to improve your craft.
We act as owners: See things through to the end.
We put teachers first: Go out of your way to serve and delight our educators.
We are ambitious: Stay hungry and never settle for mediocre.
We are a team: Help others and enjoy working together.
You care deeply about public education and believe math is a gateway to opportunity.
You have sales experience (bonus if it is in edtech!). While we typically hire people with 4+ years of software sales experience, we’re open to anyone who can prove they’ll succeed in this role.
You are competitive with yourself and those around you. We love people with a disciplined background who show up ready to win.
You’re not afraid to pick up the phone and call.
You want to be part of something special and grow on a team. We promise: you will grow tremendously here, you will make a meaningful impact, and you will make an impact in tens of thousands of student’s lives
Note: Travel up to 30%.
